Have you ever felt like everything was going wrong and you don't know what to do? It's times like these that I have found that if you are a good person God will make a way for you. Let me explain..... So I was having one of those weeks, actually the past couple of weeks. Many of our housekeeping clients have gone south for the winter meaning that our business has slowed conciderably resulting in less and less work for me. Now it is the end of the month and I do not have enough money to pay my rent!!! To add to my stress Jordan has been having some issues with getting into trouble with her friends at school. But not to fear because after an embarassing call to mom (in tears mind you) to ask for a loan until tax time, she agreed to lend me some money and in true mom fashion gave me the speech about it not being my fault, and I should not feel bad about asking for help along with a few jabs at Jordan's dad for not having to be responcible and not helping out. Then the next day right before I picked up Jordan I got a phone call from Jordan's dad who was a little upset because he had gotten his first paycheck from his new job (after over a year of not working) and the county had taken out $116 for childsupport. To top off my day I went into the daycare to pick up Jordan and her teacher said that she had a wonderful day! Also, i have been applying for many many social work jobs and today recieved an email that one of the jobs I had applied for wants me to sign up to take the merit test which is the next step in the application process! I know that 2011 is going to be my year!
Lesson:
Do everything that you can to achieve your goals and when you have done all you can trust that God will take care of the rest

Take Time to Relax
The last couple of days have been so great. I think time with my family is just what I needed. Saturday while Jordan spent time with her dad I got to go shopping for all the essentials of a relaxing get away, I got a cute new swim suit and a magazine. What else does a girl need? Well I guess sunscreen which I did not use enough of again because once again I am more red than brown. Then I picked up Jordan and headed up to the cabin for some family time. I got to lay in the sun with my mom and sister, got to go swimming with my daughter and my niece and got time to hang out with my dad and Tony.
Take Time to Relax
We have all heard it a million times about the importance of self care. This weekend I learned how wonderful it is to sit down and totally tune everything out but my wonderful family.

Dating as a single mom
So dating is difficult for anyone but throw in a 4 year old (excuse me a 4 1/2 year old) and it becomes almost impossible. Where do you people find the time! So my typical day goes as such...
5:30 Wake up
5:45 Actually wake up and get out of bed
5:46 start coffee and get in shower
5:50 1st attempt at waking up Jordan
6:00 Drink coffee and do hair and makeup
6:30 Get dressed for work and 2nd attempt to wake up Jordan
6:45 another cup of coffee and third attempt to wake up Jordan (can you see why I start early)
7:00 pick out Jordan's outfit and get her out of the bed
7:03 pick a new outfit because jordan wants to wear a dress for the 5th day in a row
then pack my lunch, brush teeth, make jordan re-brush teeth, quick bowl of cereal for jo jo, food for sparx, find shoes and keys and finally out the door.
tiered yet?
Ok now to the daycare by 7:30 so that you can talk to the teachers and a LONGGGG goodbye. then sign her in and back in the car to be to work by 8:00
Now work 8 hours sometimes 10 if lazy co worker had a late night the night before.
Pick up Jo Jo ( the best part of my day) make dinner hear about her day, do something fun with her. then time for her bath, brushing her teeth, re- brushing her teeth, bed time book and a quick snuggle.
tiered yet?
Not done because if I didn't fall asleep tucking Jordan in, I still have the dinner dishes to wash and house to clean up.
My life is busy and this is a day when I don't work my 2 hour night shift. So to try and squeeze in time for a boyfriend is just not happening right now.
Hopefully one day I will find a guy that is patient enough.
LIFE LESSON:
Know your priorities
As much as I would love to have a relationship right now I just don't see it happening. I think that what I need to do now is focus on my future and get myself to where Jordan and I need to be before I can add anything else to this already hectic but beautiful life.
